SAK would replace activation model by its employment incentive scheme

SAK proposes its own employment incentive scheme. It would simplify unemployment protection and add services to the unemployed. The activation model would be abolished. PAM’s Social Policy Specialist Egezona Kllokoqi-Bublaku gives the green light to the proposals.

Some changes to unemployment security, minimum retirement age goes up, unemployment insurance contributions go down and employees’ pension contributions go up. These are all changes coming in next year.

Membership fees unchanged in 2019

There are two ways to pay membership fees. You can either let your employer deduct them straight from your pay or you can pay them yourself. If you pay your membership fees using reference numbers, you will get the whole year’s reference numbers in January 2019.

Staircase cleaner Kirsi Marttila is satisfied that her employer Lassila&Tikanoja reinstated the much needed payment for cleaning body waste. ISS Palvelut, SOL Palvelut and RTK-Palvelu have followed – now a body waste bonus should be introduced across the sector.

Study: Burnout more common in the service industry
