Classroom teaching available for young children
From Monday all pupils in pre-primary education and grades 1-3 of basic education have the right to attend classroom teaching in the school.
Today the government issued a new decree stating that all pupils in grades 1-3 and pre-primary children can attend classroom teaching. Earlier in the week classroom teaching was restricted to the children of parents working in frontline services. This group included children of PAM members.
Municipalities implemented the restriction earlier in the week in different ways. The decision now taken gives parents the choice. The government still recommends, however, that children stay at home and do distance learning.
Classroom teaching will also be provided for pupils with a special support decision and pupils in extended compulsory education.
