Collective agreement negotiations are starting up for security guards, removal service and copying and printing sector employees
During the summer, there was no major breakthrough in the collective agreement negotiations between PAM and the Service Sector Employers PALTA. A result of the negotiations is not yet around the corner. Therefore, the negotiators wants to schedule a new date.
According to Markku Saikkonen, Collective Bargaining Specialist at PAM, there is an genuine attempt to schedule a mutual meeting for the negotiations.
"Due to the fact, that we still have three collective agreement, which are not settled yet, our intention is to meet with the employer PALTA, go through the situation, and pick up where we left off before the summer. Our wish is to return to the negotiator's table as soon as possible", Saikkonen clarifies.
According to Mr Saikkonen, the negotiators have been working on concerns that were revealed in the spring. Further more, there has been a lot of background work done in connection to the negotiations.
”We have discussed with several parties involved, in order to make progress in the negotiations, which turned out to be somewhat of a challenge last spring and
summer", Saikkonen points out.
