Collective agreement negotiations continue in several sectors
Negotiations will be held this week on working conditions for employees in call centres, golfing, household appliance services, photo products and bingo halls. The counterparty in all these negotiations is Service Sector Employers Palta.
The collective agreement negotiations for call centres were close to a solution last week. Negotiations will continue today Monday 19 March. However, as is typically the case in collective bargaining, there’s no agreement until everything is agreed on.
A negotiating date has been agreed for minimum standards for workers in the golfing sector on Tuesday 20 March.
Friday 23 March has been set aside for negotiations on the collective agreement for household appliances and equipment servicing and the service machine sector, the photo products collective agreement and the bingo sector collective agreement.
The golfing, photo products and bingo collective agreements are generally binding, meaning that the minimum working conditions in the collective agreements reached apply to everyone working in the sector. The collective agreements for call centres, household appliance and equipment servicing and the service machine sector, on the other hand are normally binding. This means that the minimum conditions in the collective agreement are only complied with in companies that belong to the employers’ federation.
In all these collective agreements the employers are represented by Service Sector Employers Palta.
