Collective agreement reached in the facility services sector
Today 17 February Service Union United PAM and Real Estate Employers reached agreement on a collective agreement for the facility services sector. The agreement means that the strikes previously announced in the sector have been cancelled.
Under the new agreement, wages will increase by 2.0 per cent from 1 April 2020 and a further 1.3 per cent from 1 April 2021. The new contract is in force 1.2.2020 – 28.2.2022.
The extended working hours of the competitiveness pact will end at the beginning of year 2021.
In addition to the above, agreement was reached on combinations of days off, meaning that during a calendar year employees will as a general rule have at least 12 Saturday-Sundays off.
The agreement also contains a provision which entitles part-time workers to review their actual working hours against their employment contracts together with their employer. A working group will also be set up between the parties to discuss issues related to part-time work.
“The removal of the competitiveness pact hours and the front-loading of pay rises made the negotiating outcome acceptable. I am happy that we reached an agreement based on our negotiations,” commented President PAM Annika Rönni-Sällinen.
Details of the content of the agreement will be published on Wednesday 19 February.
