The district court of Pirkanmaa has ordered an art supplies shop in Tampere to pay unpaid holiday compensation to an employee dismissed during their trial period.
The salesperson, who worked part-time in the art supplies shop, was dismissed during their trial period and left without holiday compensation. The salesperson took the matter to court, where the process was dealt with as a written procedure at the district court of Pirkanmaa.
According to the employer, holiday compensation was included in the wages paid for the hours worked, but the pay slips show that the employee had not been paid holiday compensation for the severance period.
The district court rejected the employer’s claims that holiday compensation was included in the basic pay, and ordered the employer to pay missing holiday compensation of € 59.24 with late payment interest.
