In its municipal election themes, PAM emphasizes the functionality of services

In its municipal election themes, PAM presents options for organizing municipal activities through aspects of people's livelihoods, services and the vitality of the municipality.

During the municipal elections, PAM has published its own solutions, which would make municipalities better places for service workers to live a good life.

PAM highlights options for organizing municipal activities through aspects of people's livelihoods, services and municipal vitality. The themes take strong account of the well-being of people and families, as well as children. High-quality services that are accessible to all affect how people feel at home. When a municipality is good for its residents, it is also good for business. The services increase the vitality of the municipality.

Take a look at our themes here.

Service workers work irregular hours. This means that children will also have to be flexible due to irregular working hours. High-quality early childhood education and the right to shift care, as well as the consideration of young schoolchildren in the services provided by the municipality, guarantee parents the opportunity to work without worrying about the child's well-being.

Everyone has the right to their own home. Effective public transport is of great importance to people as well as to municipal employment and business activities. It is worth developing a cozy and functional municipality for the residents, as it is also a good municipality for tourism. Promoting tourism is an important and partly neglected part of trade policy for municipalities.

In its themes, PAM calls for attention to be paid to the responsible procurement of services organized by municipalities. Municipal services are financed with tax money and service fees, therefore the procurement process must be well managed and withstand ethical review. Even well-managed procurement can improve the quality of services, save local government money and improve employment.

In the municipal elections in June, decision-makers will be elected to municipal councils. Municipal elections are local elections and the decision-makers elected in them are close to people's lives and daily lives. By voting you can affect inconveniences. Therefore, PAM encourages everyone to take power into their own hands in the spring and to influence their own community for things that greatly affect their lives. Quit chewing on it - vote!
