Mediation proposal in the labour dispute in the security guarding sector
Today Tuesday, National Conciliator Vuokko Piekkala made a mediation proposal in the labour dispute in the security guarding sector. The parties must give their response to the proposal by 9 a.m. on Thursday.
Mediation in the labour dispute in the security guarding continued up to midnight on Tuesday. At the end, the National Conciliator made a mediation proposal to Service Union United and Service Sector Employers Palta. The parties must give their response to it by 9 a.m. on Thursday 8 November.
The mediation proposal of the National Conciliator either has to be accepted or rejected as it is. No details of the proposal will be released before the parties have given their response to the National Conciliator.
PAM has issued a strike warning of a strike to begin at 2 p.m. on Friday 9 November at Prevent 360 Turvallisuuspalvelut Oy. If the mediation proposal is accepted, this and other strikes announced will be called off.
The security guarding sector has been in a state of non-agreement since the start of May. The collective agreement in the security guarding sector covers around 8500 employees working as security guards, security officers, janitors and cash-in-transit drivers.
