No-nonsense start to facility services sector negotiations
PAM and the employers’ organisation Real Estate Employers met today for negotiations on the collective agreement for the facility services sector.
“The negotiations have started in a no-nonsense atmosphere and today both parties presented their objectives”, says Collective Bargaining Specialist Jarkko Viitanen. Negotiations continue on Tuesday.
It is important for PAM to secure decent wages for workers, to improve the situation of part time workers and to ensure that every worker gets paid time off for mid-week public holidays.
About 50 000 cleaners and janitors are covered by the facility services collective agreement. The current collective agreement is in force until the end of February.
