PAM has decided on a strike that will be carried out in Securitas Oy och Securitas Palvelut Oy
In order to speed up the collective agreement negotiations in the security guarding sector, which has been led by the National Conciliator, Service Union United PAM has decided on a new strike, which will affect Securitas. The strike will start in November.
PAM has decided on a strike that will be carried out in Securitas Oy och Securitas Palvelut Oy. The strike starts Tuesday 6 November at 2 pm. and ends Wednesday 7 November at midnight. The strike concerns the tasks that are covered by the security guarding sector collective agreement in the companies in question. Securitas is one of the major actors within watchkeeping and guarding services in Finland.
The mediations in the security guarding sector ended yesterday without a result. The three-day strike in the security guarding sector, which PAM has announced, will begin on Wednesday 24 October at midnight and end at midnight on Friday 26 October. The strike concerns all work tasks that are covered by the the security guarding sector collective agreement.
The collective agreement for the security guarding sector covers around 8500 employees including security guards, security inspectors, janitors and cash in transit drivers. The agreement is generally binding. The sector has been in a state of non-agreement since 1 May 2018, after the previous collective agreement period ended on 30 April 2018.
