PAM launches job search service
PAM has launched a job search service for members and anyone interested in working in service sectors. The service provides information on vacancies in service sectors, facilitating members’ job searches.
Service Union United PAM has launched the Duunisivut job search portal for members and those interested in working in service sectors to make finding a job in service sectors easier.
”Service sectors are major employers in Finland. We want to contribute towards ensuring that service sector professionals and job vacancies are matched up in future too”, says PAM President Ann Selin.
Employment services are going to go through big changes, with the new counties taking over some of the services of the current Employment and Economic Development Offices. Selin is concerned that the unemployed are facing growing demands, but the services for services available to them have not been similarly improved.
”I believe we need all the new initiatives we can get to promote employment, especially now. The trade unions also have a role to play in this”, Selin says.
PAM is launching the Duunisivut service together with Duunitori Oy. In future job vacancies in the sectors and occupations represented by PAM will be advertised via the union’s website. The service is open to everybody.
Out of all the job data on Duunitori, the service will show users jobs in PAM sectors. PAM’s Duunisivut also provides information on union membership and current PAM news items.
You can review vacancies on PAM’s Duunisivut using any search criteria you like. Search criteria could include full or part-time work or job location. You can also create alerts for your own searches so that you can keep track of new vacancies on the service as they come in. The jobs come straight from the Duunitori service. Therefore PAM is not responsible for the content of the ads. Duunitori has produced similar services with other trade unions.
