Collective agreement negotiations - 01.02.2018 klo 11.53

Walkouts in different locations in Finland within the facility service sector

The reason for the walk out is the stiffness in the collective agreement negotiations and the terms and conditions from the employer's side, which includes an extensive list of impairments and impacts that would clearly be negative for the workers.

Paper factory cleaners walked out in Lappeenranta
PAM members and ISS Services' facility workers and cleaners, stationed at the paper factory UPM Kymmene in Kaukaa, stopped work and walked out earlier today. The reason for the walk out is the stiffness in the collective agreement negotiations and the terms and conditions from the employer's side, which includes an extensive list of impairments and impacts that would clearly be negative for the workers.

The workers left in the middle of a shift on Thursday at 12 o'clock and are absent until the end of their shift at 15 o'clock. The number of people walking out was around 10. According to PAM's own sources, the walk out is affecting at least the cleaning of the paper halls, repair shops and the social premises at the factory. On Friday workers are returning to work normally.

Cleaners stopped working in Saariselkä and Rovaniemi - the proposal of impairments is upsetting
Cleaners working at Joukko N-Clean in Saariselkä and in the Ivalo region walked out from work Thursday at 12. The walk out affects cleaning especially during the holiday season at hotels and cottages. By walking out the cleaners are opposing the employer's proposal to weaken working conditions and the obvious slowness in the collective bargaining process. According to PAM's own sources, workers of N-Clean are absent from work mainly during Thursday until the end of the shift, and one worker 2 hours during the evening shift.

Workers at ISS Services walked out as an objection to the emplyer's attempt to weaken working condistions in the collective agreement
There has been walk-outs by PAM members from ISS services locations in Helsinki. The walk-out affects the management of maintenance and service requests nation-wide. Five PAM members working at ISS Service, walked out from their work location at 11.30 in Helsinki today.

There are about 70 000 workers within the frame of the collective agreement in the facility service sectors.

Workers from ISS Service walked out for one hour.
