Workers within the facility service sector walked out
The slow progress in the collective bargaining negotiations within the facility service sector has caused frustration among sector workers. They walked out from their work places today in Jyväskylä. According to PAMs own sources, the number of workers participating in the walkout was about 50 in Jyväskylä and another 50 in Oulu.
News updates:
At 11:45: About 50 workers belonging to Coor Service Managament in Oulu walked out. According to PAMs sources, the work places are situated at University of Oulu and Oulu Polytechnic.
At 11:40: Workers in Jyväskylä walked out from five different work places. According to PAMs sources, the workers are returning to work tomorrow morning at 7 a.m.
At 11.30: Facility service sector workers at Sulun kiinteistöhoito Oy in Jyväskylä has today walked out at 11 a.m. The cause for the walkout is, according to PAMs sources, the workers' disappointment of the the collective bargaining negotiations not progressing.
PAM and representatives of the employer's organisation met last Friday, but PAM's president said that there was no actual negotiation then, nor was there any discussion agreement on the following meeting.
