Employer collection/ employer payment
I want my employer to pay my membership fees directly from my wages to PAM, what do I do?
- Complete the employer collection form in PAM’s e-services (Membership fees-Easy fees). PAM then informs your employer.
- or print the form on PAM’s website, complete it and send it to your payroll department. They forward the form to PAM.
- If your employer doesn’t agree to collect union membership fees, you can pay your fees yourself by ordering an e-invoice to your bank or you can pay your fees in PAM’s e-services.
My employer deducts my membership fees from my wages. How can I tell that my employer has transferred them to PAM?
- It’s easy to check on your payslip that membership fees have been deducted from your wages. You will find the details on your payslip under Union membership fees/membership fees/PAM or Service Union United.
- You can also check the payment details in PAM’s e-services under Membership fees – Membership fee details. Note: Employers send membership fee information with a delay, so you won’t necessarily see the latest status in e-services. For this reason it’s best to check the details on your payslip first.
My employer should deduct membership fees from my wages, why aren’t membership fees mentioned on my payslip?
- It might take some time before the information reaches the payroll department and goes from there to PAM. If you want you can check with the payroll department that it has been taken care of.
- If you have started with a new employer, any existing collection agreement is no longer valid. If you change jobs, always remember to make a new collection agreement.

How do I calculate the monthly membership fee amount?
- Calculate the membership fee for the month from the gross income on your payslip (amount before tax) as follows: membership fee percentage (1.5%) x gross wages (=taxable income). For example, to calculate membership fees on gross wages of 1500 euros: 0.015 x 1500 = 22.50 €.
- There is a membership fee calculator on PAM’s website where you can easily check your membership fees.
- You can also calculate your membership fees in PAM’s e-services in the section "Membership fees" > "Pay your membership fee"
Checking membership fees
Where do I find information about my membership fees?
- You can check your membership fee information in e-services as follows: "Membership fees" > "Membership fee information".
- In the section Paid/Unpaid you can see registered payments and reported unpaid periods. In the Review tab you can see periods where membership fee details may be missing.
- Note: If your employer forwards membership fees to PAM, there may be delays in updating the information, so payment information won’t be shown.
How do I pay missing membership fees?
- You can pay missing membership fees in e-services in the section "Membership fees" > "Pay membership fees".
- In the fields enter the start and end dates of your membership fees and your total gross wages for the period and press "Calculate". The program calculates your membership fees and after this you can select your payment method.
- Payments are made via Paytrail, which is PAM’s payment service provider. For this reason the payment recipient is given as Paytrail and there may be a slight delay in registering payments in your membership information.
