Working Life Infos for Schools

PAM co-operates on regular basis with educational institutions in the service sector. PAM's school spokespersons visits vocational schools, Universities of Applied Sciences and Adult Education Centres to inform and educate on rules of working life as well as coach students in the matters of private service sector.
Why?

Are students familiar with rules of working life and labour legislation? Are they aware of their rights and where to seek help if they have problems at work or issues regarding their work contract?
If you want to enhance the students' knowledge of the above mentioned - you are in the right place!
PAM offers schools spokespersons who inform and educate on rules of working life, trade union activities and labour markets in Finland.
PAM's working life infos and student membership are both free-of-charge! In addition, this offers an interesting and exciting change for the school day. PAM's working life info sessions last between 45 minutes to one hour. We can also customise the lessons according to your interests and wishes.

Become a voluntary school spokesperson!
You can sign up as a voluntary school spokesperson if you are member of the Service Union United PAM (ordinary member or student member). Being a voluntary school spokesperson is lots of fun!
You can do this on the side of your studies of work - whenever it's suitable for you! We will train you for the task and a PAM's employee will help you get started!
Sign up if you are interested! We arrange trainings for all new spokespersons several times a year. In those trainings we teach basics about being a school spokesperson, how to get started, how to get rid of stage fright, practical guidelines and so on.

Compensations for a school spokesperson
We pay 30,00 € for each working life info that you host and 15€/h for working an exhibition stand. We also cover travelling expenses and compensation for any loss of income. As a school spokesperson, you have a great opportunity to earn some extra as well as gain performing experience.
Order materials
Order materials for school spokespersons, as you can bring them to the schools with you. We offer for example: student brochures, "know your rights in the working life" - brochures in different languages, PAM's backpack, hoodie, notebook etc.
