The new electronic form makes it easier to apply for earnings-related daily allowance
The Unemployment Fund will take into use a new electronic application form today, Monday 16 November.
The information required for the application will continue to be the same as before, but the new application will guide the applicant better than the old application, explains Jusa Kaarni, Unemployment Benefits Assesssor.
“The various application options are eliminated and the service offers automatically to fill in the correct application form. The applicant therefore no longer has to choose between the first application and the subsequent applications. "
"Completion of the application proceeds on the basis of the answers given and the applicant will only be asked questions that suit his or her situation", Kaarni continues.
"For example, specific questions on entrepreneurship are asked only of those who report in the initial stage that they are engaged in entrepreneural activities as a secondary business."
According to Kaarni, the new application will also make things easier for those who have part-time work or several different employers.
“The application can clearly and easily state the hours worked for different employers and other current information. For example, if the application period is subject to several notifiable situations in addition to unemployment days, such as working days, participation in training at the TE Office or paid absences, several options can be selected from the application period menu. ”
The application form can be found on the Unemployment Fund's online service. If the application is not completed or cannot be completed, it is possible to save the draft and continue to complete the application later.
The electronic services of the Unemployment Fund are constantly being developed to be even more user-friendly. Feedback on the new application form can be submitted to the Unemployment Fund's online service.
