New job, occupation or employment contract
Updated: 28.12.2021
If you change workplaces or jobs, remember to always let PAM know about your new workplace. Also let us know if you are working for several employers at once.
It’s important to keep your workplace and job information up to date so that we can send you information that is relevant for your work and that can help protect your interests.
Give your tax card to your new employer.
Report a new employment contract:
in the e-service or by calling our member helpline.
Membership fees
Remember to make a new employer collection agreement when
- you change employers or workplaces
- you enter into a new fixed-term contract (with the same employer)
When you make an agreement authorising your employer to collect your union membership fees from your pay, the agreement is only valid for that specific employer.
- If you change workplaces, you will have to conclude a new agreement with the new employer.
- If you have several employers, make an employer collection agreement separately with each one.
If you have a fixed-term employment contract, the employer collection agreement is valid for the duration of the employment contract.
However, if you enter into a new employment contract with the same employer within three months, the employer collection will continue automatically.
Remember to check your payslip to make sure your employer has collected your union membership fee.
If employer collection is not possible, you can pay your membership fee yourself through the PAM e-service or authorise an e-invoice in your online bank by selecting Palvelualojen ammattiliitto PAM/Service Union United PAM from the invoicer list in your online bank.
