What are you joining when you complete the membership form?

Updated: 28.12.2021

When you complete the PAM membership form you join your union branch, the union and the unemployment fund.

Under the union’s rules, individuals approved by the Executive Committee who work in service sectors, closely associated sectors and special sectors as employees, clerical employees and supervisors as well as registered branches composed of self-employed persons and entrepreneurs   can become members of the union.

Every employee joining the union, therefore, joins a union branch. The branches are independent associations which in turn form the union (PAM). By belonging to a branch, each member also belongs to the union.

When you join a branch and, through it, the union, you also become a member of PAM’s Unemployment Fund. PAM’s Unemployment Fund pays unemployed members earnings-related unemployment allowance.
