Customised training for union branches
Union branches can get customised training from PAM. Branch training can make use of PAM’s know-how in interest representation, occupational safety and health and well-being at work.
Training for work in branch committees
We organise development training for union branch committee work. The training is planned together with the branch. The training focuses on developing interest representation and recruitment of members as well as high-quality committee work. If you are interested, contact the PAM regional office.
Customised Well-being at Work Card training
PAM has several trainers qualified in well-being at work card training. Training for the Well-being at Work Card is organised by the Centre for Occupational Safety TTK and is designed to promote improvements at the workplace and increase co-operation. The training enhances a common concept of well-being at work and structures workplace roles and responsibilities within well-being at work. Key topics in the one-day training are perspectives on well-being at work, well-being at work in management as well as activities health and coping at work in the working community. The training is free of charge when requested by branches (a charge is made for the costs of TTK’s materials and the trainer’s travel/accommodation costs). Ask the course secretary for more information: kurssisihteeri@pam.fi.

Online training
PAM’s online training is free of charge for members, and you can study at a time that suits you!
To study you need either a computer, tablet or smartphone and an internet connection. Many of our online courses are studied in the Vuolearning learning environment, which can be accessed on any of the above devices.
Task-specific training
PAM supports skills for active branch members by paying for task-specific training at the Kiljava Institute. If you have a specific task in your branch, you can apply for task-specific training. The Kiljava Institute is a folk high school in Nurmijärvi and Tampere specialised in training for organisations. PAM pays for task-specific training in general courses at the Kiljava Institute for members with a specific role in their branch.
The course fee is paid if you have an organizational role in your union branch. Possible losses of earnings are supported in the form of course daily allowances. Your branch may compensate any remaining loss of earnings with a course grant. Check this with your branch before the course.
